Desk Research

From the data, the overall sleep situation of families with children is not optimistic.

Infants aged 0-1 years are in a critical stage of sleep rhythm development, gradually from the chaotic and scattered sleep at birth to the sleep rhythm similar to that of adults, which requires scientific cooperation from their parents.

Infants wake up and cry frequently out of certain reasons but can often fall back to sleep naturally after addressing their needs, including from environmental disturbances to physiological needs such as diaper changes.

Our Goal

How might we arrange better & healthier sleeping habits for infants in order to save the whole family’s sleeping quality?

We defined our approach to be using environmental data and feedback to help parents get:

  • timely sleep intervention

  • long-term sleep guidance

Introducing NAPNAP

We are NAPNAP, dedicated to improving baby sleep.

We hope to use AI to intellectualize sleeping management, give parents a more relaxed parenting experience,
and ccompany babies to grow up.

Ideation

Final Concept

The monitoring side consists of Bab, which monitors pressure (BCG signal), and Ada, which monitors crying, while the feedback side consists of Nono, which emits white noise, and Piku, which emits light.

The middle is connected by two AI's algorithms: the AI for sleep staging and prediction and the AI for cry recognition.

Interface

We wanted to use a more communicative design language that rather than shoving all the information at parents with an engineered pile of thinking.
